"Learning to understand Russian literature and culture"

The course "Learning to understand Russian literature and culture" is aimed at achieving the required level of Russian language skills of foreign students for successful communication in the linguistic field. The course is designed for foreign students with a basic knowledge of Russian.

The material of the work was the texts of Russian folk tales and works of Russian writers. The study of Russian folklore and literature is a key element in the formation of students' linguistic and cultural competence and contributes to the acquisition of the Russian language, which is sufficient for basic communication needs in everyday, educational, cultural and professional areas of communication. in accordance with the state standard of the Russian language as a foreign language at the level of basic and first certification.

The selection of texts was based on the principles of social neutrality, importance in terms of cultural linguistics, as well as the principles of plot and interest for students. The textbook is divided chronologically into three parts: texts of Russian folk tales, works of Russian classical literature of the 19th century, literary tales and stories of writers of the 20th century. Each lesson includes a fictional text and exercises developed from that text. Tasks are aimed at mastering various aspects of the Russian language - lexical, morphological and syntactic aspects. The proposed lexical and grammatical exercises after the texts are aimed at expanding the vocabulary of foreign students and enriching their grammatical structure, increasing their language competence. Exercises close to the text and after the text also allow students to understand the content and main idea of ​​the text, to understand the ideological and artistic originality of the work.

Each lesson includes work on all types of speaking activities: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
